They will be available for single family homes and multi-story dwellings by the end of 2022. Their construction platform and products are engineered for automation and a sustainable, circular, zero-carbon lifecycle.

Housing for all; AUAR’s housing platform enables scale across communities, regions or countries, achieving access to housing for all. AUAR has a customisable small one-storey house product for infill and backyard sites on the market, with sizes ranging from 15-50m2. They used these small projects to train a team that hase 15+ years of experience in architecture, design, systems design, computer science, community engagement, manufacturing and robotics.

Hopefully your interest in Auar has hereby grown. We are looking forward to exploring new horizons together with Auar.

  • BAO Living

BAO Living designs and commercialises products that make construction more affordable and sustainable. Their primarily product is called SAM which stands for Smart Adaptable Module.

They are a young and dynamic team of engineers, product developers and marketers. Together they want to have a positive impact on one of the most polluting sectors, the construction industry.

Compared to a traditional building process, building with SAM can save about 4 tons of CO2 emissions on the installation alone. That's equal to the emissions of a car that would drive around the world. This in combination with the ease of disassembly and the efficient use of materials ensures that the impact on the environment is drastically reduced.

  • EXIE

They process hemp of lime into insulation material. Lime hemp is a fully circular building material. Free of toxins, CO2 negative and completely degradable.

Their ecological building materials are a fully-fledged alternative to traditional building products.

Exie’s great asset is that the material not only insulates, but also contributes to the air conditioning in the home. Their products combine ecology, attention to health, sustainability, affordability, comfort, efficiency and ease of use.

  • Madaster

Madaster is the online library of information on materials and products. For registered buildings and infrastructure objects, their platform provides insight into the materials and products used and their location, as well as their impact on circularity and the environment. By thus providing these materials with an identity, they create awareness and understanding and make reuse easier, reduce waste and minimize the impact on our environment. In this way, Madaster is working towards a circular construction industry.

    Material passport

Using Madaster to register all the materials and products that are incorporated in a building or infrastructure object, you are automatically creating a unique material passport for that building or object. This passport always shows exactly which materials and products are included, as well as their impact on circularity and the environment, and the potential residual value they represent. To automatically create such a passport, all you need to do is upload the BIM (IFC) or Excel document in Madaster.

  • Neanex

Neanex makes sure you have the information you need in only 5 clicks, correct & consistent. We struggle to have the right and correct data in an easy and accessible way. Neanex manages all relevant asset information throughout all life cycle stages. Win time to have the information you need at your fingertip.

As we want to create sustainable cities, we need to keep track of materials in our building projects. We want to know how much of it and where it is located in our project. If we want carbon accounting to succeed, we need to do the hard data work, and Neanex can do it for you.

Building Information Management is all about bringing the right information together. BIM is more than a 3Dmodel, but needs data from different tools & processes. Neanex offers a one-stop-shop for your data organization. With the off-the-shelf connection with CAD tools, you are all set to go

  • Wood inc

Wood-inc uses the STRUCTUREZ technique. This is deliberately developed so that both the do-it-yourselfer and the experienced builder can work with it. As a prefabricated building system they always think ahead, and as a construction partner they are best involved in the development process of your project right from the concept phase.

Structurez is a timber frame building system that can be easily assembled and disassembled through the use of steel connection elements. Whereas the timber beams and columns are made entirely of renewable resources, the steel connections enjoy a long service life and potential for high-quality recycling. The connections, which are based on a Japanese technique, ensure disassembly.

Together with UHasselt, WOODinc has developed the Prefab Insulation Cassette. This prefabricated facade element aims at reuse, easy assembly and cost-efficient construction.

This is a new, innovative invention for which WOODinc and UHasselt already filed a patent application at the end of 2019. The use of this facade element belongs exclusively to WOODinc, which makes them unique on the market!

Circular construction with the possibility of reusing materials instead of costs at demolition is, besides an ecological gain, also an economic gain for both contractor, developer and builder.

Sustainable building does not have to be expensive, on the contrary.
